Enriquito “Quito” Rymer, the renowned musician and owner of Quito’s Gazebo & Luxury Inn in Cane Garden Bay, Tortola, has entered a new chapter – retirement after 43 years in business.
In a farewell message posted on social media, Rymer and his wife, Kimberly West-Rymer, thanked their patrons for “43 years of music and magic in Cane Garden Bay.”
“All good things come to an end and it is time to move on and enjoy this new phase…retirement!” the couple wrote. They assured fans that while their public performances will cease, “The music and art will never stop being made, just to a smaller, more intimate audience.”
The announcement comes as businessman and former 4th District Representative Mark “Action Man” Vanterpool revealed plans to purchase Quito’s Luxury Inn and Restaurant as part of his family’s investment group. Vanterpool made this announcement on December 12, 2023, during the grand opening of another of his ventures, Rock Cafe by Pusser’s on Virgin Gorda.
Quito’s Gazebo has been a landmark in Cane Garden Bay for over four decades and was widely known for its live music performances and as a popular spot for both tourists and locals.
The Rymers expressed gratitude to their patrons noting that they hope to “see you on the road or some beach someday.”
