GOVERNMENT OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR MSME GRANT PROGRAMME

The Government of the Virgin Islands, through the Ministry of Financial Services, Labour, and Trade, has officially opened the first round of applications for its highly anticipated Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Grant Programme.

This initiative is designed to stimulate business development and promote economic growth across the territory.

Local businesses that qualify are encouraged to apply for the grants, which are aimed at supporting their growth and sustainability. Applications for this round of funding must be submitted by September 30, marking the first opportunity for businesses to take advantage of the programme’s resources.

Interested business owners can access the application forms on the Government’s official website at www.gov.vg. Completed applications must be emailed to the ministry at mfslt@gov.vg with the subject line “MSME Grant Programme.”

In addition to calling for applications from businesses, the ministry is also seeking qualified professionals to join the Selection Committee for the MSME Grant Programme. This committee will play a key role in evaluating applications and selecting businesses that demonstrate significant potential to boost the local economy.

Candidates interested in serving on the Selection Committee are encouraged to submit a cover letter along with a current resume or curriculum vitae to mfslt@gov.vg, using “MSME Selection Committee” as the email subject. Ideal applicants should possess expertise in areas such as business development and finance, have strong analytical skills, and share a passion for fostering economic growth in the Virgin Islands.
