The Skillful Ballers Jr. Basketball Team recently showcased their talent and determination while representing the British Virgin Islands at the Anguilla International Youth Basketball Showcase.
Participating in both male and female divisions, the teams delivered impressive performances.
In the male division, the Skillful Ballers emerged victorious, clinching the championship title. The team, coached by Ronald ‘Gola’ Simmons, demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the tournament. The roster included Alec Leonard, Kmani Helliger, Clariq Frett, Jahshiembah Daniel, Taije Nathaniel, Avery Webb, Wayne Oneal, Khemoe Foy, Jason Audain, and Steven Emmanuel. Their hard work and dedication paid off, as they dominated their opponents winning all 3 of their matches and brought home the trophy.
The female division saw a strong effort from the Skillful Ballers, who played with heart and determination. Despite their best efforts, they fell short of winning the tournament after a 26-25 loss. The female team members were Kenniqua Grate, Jaalai Cupid, Adri-Ana El Shabazz, Raina Chalwell, Kyla Flax, and Divya Nelson.
