ALVA GORDON WINS CCT’S FOUR-DAY CRUISE TO THE BAHAMAS

Alva Gordon emerged victorious in CCT’s exciting contest, winning a four-day cruise for two to the Bahamas after a series of lively challenges during the Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta on Friday, August 9.

The competition, which featured three contestants, was the highlight of the evening as Gordon, along with Kristin Frazer and Bereniece Freeman, vied for the grand prize. The contestants qualified by paying their postpaid bills in full between July 1 and August 8, with their names being drawn from a barrel containing hundreds of receipts.

Originally, four contenders were expected to participate in the contest, but only three made it to the venue to compete. The first challenge was a lime and spoon race, a test of balance and speed, which ended in Freeman’s elimination after she finished third.

The final showdown was a sack race between Gordon and Frazer, where Gordon showcased her agility and determination. She crossed the finish line ahead of Frazer, clinching the coveted cruise prize.

The crowd at Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta cheered as Gordon celebrated her win, knowing she would soon set sail on an unforgettable vacation to the Bahamas.
