Residents and motorists are being advised of a series of scheduled civil works and water service interruptions affecting the Paraquita Bay area in the coming days.
Road Repairs in Paraquita Bay
Civil works will commence in Paraquita Bay from the entrance of the Department of Agriculture and the Abattoir on Saturday, September 21, continuing through to Sunday, September 22. The work will take place between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day. During this period, motorists are urged to follow traffic directions and signage to ensure a smooth flow of traffic through the repair area. The relevant authorities apologize for any inconvenience caused by this essential work.
Water Service Interruption
Residents and businesses in the area from Baughers Bay to Paraquita Bay should also be aware of a scheduled water service interruption on Saturday, September 21, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This temporary shutdown is necessary to repair a mainline leak in the water system. The Water and Sewerage Department has expressed regret for any inconvenience that this may cause.
Temporary Suspension of Water Testing Services
In addition, the public is notified that the Water and Sewerage Department’s water testing services will be unavailable from Monday, September 23, to Friday, September 27, due to scheduled training for lab technicians.
Normal testing services will resume on Monday, September 30, during the department’s regular working hours.
