NYRON ERICKSON SLAPPED WITH 21 CHARGES

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has charged Nyron Erickson with 21 offences.

The criminal offences include seven counts of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, eleven counts of Keeping a Firearm Without a License, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug with Intent to Supply Another, and one count of Possession of the Proceeds of Criminal Conduct.

The RVIPF confirmed the charges in a media release late Thursday, September 21.

The force said that Erickson’s arrest and subsequent charges stemmed from inquiries into high-level, organized criminal activities being perpetrated by linked individuals.

“Erickson remains in police custody pending his appearance at the Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting,” the RVIPF stated.

On Wednesday, the police confirmed the arrest of Erickson who was returning to the territory after criminal charges relating to money laundering were withdrawn in the USVI.

Police said further updates on the investigation will be provided as they become available.
