MAN INJURED IN BAUGHERS BAY SHOOTING; POLICE SEEK PUBLIC ASSISTANCE

A man is in stable condition at the Dr. D Orlando Smith Hospital after being shot in Baughers Bay on Saturday night.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) confirmed the incident in a media release on Sunday, detailing that it occurred near the Omar Hodge Fishing Wharf on July 27, 2024, shortly after 9:00 p.m.

The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle for treatment. The circumstances leading to the shooting are currently under investigation, with the RVIPF working to gather more details about the incident.

In an effort to piece together information, the police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the event or has information to contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-8477 (TIPS) or the RVIPF Intelligence Department at 368-9339.
