COURTNEY FAHIE IDENTIFIED AS DECEASED FOUND IN DERELICT VEHICLE

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has confirmed the death of 68-year-old Courtney Fahie, whose lifeless body was discovered in a derelict vehicle late Wednesday night.

Fahie, who was of no fixed place of abode, was found inside a green, derelict RAV4 SUV in the Long Swamp area.

Officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male around 11:00 p.m. Upon arrival, they found Fahie dressed in a blue plaid shirt and short blue jeans. He showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RVIPF noted that there were no signs of violence or suspicious markings on Fahie’s body. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to his death.

The RVIPF has urged anyone with information related to the incident to come forward by contacting 368-9339 or the non-emergency line at 311.

“We extend our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased during this difficult time,” the RVIPF said in a statement.
