AMIAH CHANG AND YASMEEN SAID TAKE TOP SPOTS IN ANTI-BULLYING SPEECH COMPETITION

Amiah Chang from Claudia Creque Educational Centre and Yasmeen Said from St. George’s Secondary School emerged as the winners in their respective divisions of the Territory’s anti-bullying speech competition, which concluded on Wednesday, October 16, at Elmore Stoutt High School.

In the primary school category, Chang secured first place, with John Claude Vergara of St. George’s Primary School coming in second, and Marla-Monae Gray from Jost Van Dyke Primary School taking third.

For the secondary division, Said earned first place, followed by Carey-Ann McKie of Bregado Flax Educational Centre in second, and Adrianne Thomas of Elmore Stoutt High School placing third.

The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs, and Sports congratulated all participants, emphasizing its ongoing commitment to anti-bullying initiatives as part of its broader efforts to reimagine education in the Virgin Islands.
