THE KING’S BIRTHDAY PARADE SET FOR FRIDAY

The British Virgin Islands (BVI) will mark the birthday of His Majesty King Charles III with a grand ceremonial parade on Friday, June 14.

The event, celebrating the monarch’s special day, will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Sir Olva Georges Plaza and conclude at the Queen Elizabeth II Park.

His Excellency Governor Daniel Pruce recently shared details about the upcoming celebrations, urging residents to join in the festivities.

The parade promises to be a vibrant display of unity and patriotism, featuring various community groups, organizations, and dignitaries. Attendees can expect a blend of traditional ceremonial elements and local cultural displays as the procession makes its way through Road Town.

At the conclusion of the parade at the Queen Elizabeth II Park, a ceremony will be held to honour officers throughout various entities for their service to the territory.

Residents are encouraged to arrive early to secure good viewing spots along the parade route and to participate in the communal spirit of the event.
