His Excellency Governor Daniel Pruce revealed today that he is still awaiting a formal response from the UK Government regarding the Quarterly Review Report and Joint Action Plan submitted in May.
He made the disclosure during a joint press conference with the Premier.
Governor Pruce attributed the delay to the recent General Election in the United Kingdom. Nothing that the documents were originally sent to former UK Overseas Territories Minister David Rutley.
When questioned about potential concerns over the UK’s lack of response, considering its obligations to its Overseas Territories, Governor Pruce expressed confidence in the process.
The delay underscores the looming impact of the UK’s political environment on Overseas Territories’ affairs.
