The CEO of InterCaribbean, Mr. Trevor Sandler is ecstatic about the new route. “With the continued renewal of the British Virgin Islands product post the twin hurricanes, the ability to offer new services, new connecting points becomes very valuable. We have high hopes with BVI Tourism in promoting these flights, particularly in Europe and South America.”
Mr. Sandler said this connects us to bigger countries who share a love for the sailing industry. “We’ll particularly offer great connective options for those who interested in sailing and if we look to South America, the three largest countries that have air service to Punta Cana, being Brazil, Argentina and Chile…each of them have a coastline which has sailing as part of their DNA and it gives those folks an opportunity to sail in the Caribbean and enjoy warmer waters and a different scenery unique to the BVI.”
