Detectives of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force Major Crime Team have officially charged Andraes Norford for murder. The charges were officially laid at 11:20am today Wednesday January 15th, 2020.
Andraes Norford, a 28-year-old native of St. Kitts, who was on remand at Her Majesty’s Prison for the 2013 murder of Melbourne Francis, is now charged with the 2017 murder of Julio Pineda Ceasar.
Commissioner of Police, Michael Matthews in his official remarks said: “We continue to pursue investigations into historic homicides in the Territory. This particular matter happened in the immediate aftermath of Hurricane Irma making the investigation more challenging and complex. The investigation has now concluded with the charging of Mr Norford. My thoughts remain with the family and friends of Mr Ceasar.”
Norford is to appear in the Magistrate’s Court in the afternoon on January 15th for sentencing.
