Regarding her new post, Ms. Lloyd said she is optimistic about the organisation’s initiatives this year, adding, “We are engaging the community to increase the awareness of what we have to offer as the British Virgin Islands Red Cross.”

Ms. Lloyd continued, “We want to reach out to the most vulnerable people and communities as it relates to the disaster response. We also want to build resilience and support the health and well-being of people across the Territory, all part of our five-year strategy.”

“Part of the strategy is to determine how we can best develop, grow and nurture our people, our programmes, our resources and our role as Red Cross. We’ll be doing all this to ensure we have the tools, skills and resources to deliver quality programming to those people who need it the most.”
