The Social Security Board (SSB) has indicated its support for the Virgin Islands Alzheimer’s Association (VIAA) with a recent monetary contribution.
In a letter to VIAA’s President Mr. Ryan Geluk, SSB Director Ms. Antoinette Skelton stated: “The work that you do is laudable and we are delighted to contribute to this worthy cause.” In response, VIAA member Ms. Edna Williams said, “We are grateful to Social Security for recognizing the work we do for the community.”
The contribution totaled $3,000 and will fund some of the association’s activities. The cheque handover was done late last month. VIAA members Mrs. Dawn Leonard, Ms. Edna Williams and Mr. Elton Callwood received the cheque from SSB Chairman Mr. Ian Smith and Director Ms. Skelton.
