Police are now investigating an attempted robbery at Riteway Supermarket in Road Reef!
According to reports, around 8:35 tonight two gunmen approached the supermarket’s cashier with intentions to rob but were seemingly intimidated by the overwhelming crowd and security presence.
As a result nothing was stolen and no one was hurt in the ordeal.
Even though this location is not usually busy that has changed dramatically over the last two days as many are panic-shopping.
The public is urged to remain calm and vigilant in crowded places as we continue to monitor the novel coronavirus.
The matter is under investigation.
