Amid growing concerns of local food shortages and inflation due to coronavirus, Road Town Wholesale has made an executive decision against price-gouging for the next 30 days. This was revealed in a press release sent out a few minutes ago.
The statement said “in response to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) RTW group of companies has undertaken a series of key actions to ensure the health and safety of our employees, customers and the territory to ensure continuity of the essential services we provide on a daily basis.”
According to Managing Director Guy Strickland, the public can be rest assured that inflation will not occur within the next month. “We have made a decision to freeze all price increases for 30 days unless they relate to increases beyond our control” he said within the release.
To compliment social distancing, the company also made a proactive decision to introduce online shopping and delivery. “We will be implementing a next day curbside ordering service to further support our customers who wish to avoid crowds. Further details will be available on our website www.rtwbvi.com and our social media accounts within the coming days.”
A myriad of sanitation practices have been implemented among other measures .
