HEAD OF TAXI AND LIVERY COMMISSION HOLDS ADMINISTRATIVE HEARINGS

Director of the Taxi and Livery Commission (TLC) Mr. Jevaughn Parsons, held two administrative hearings since taking office, to resolve complaints filed against taxi operators.

Mr. Parsons said the hearings were held in keeping with the mission of the TLC to ensure that Virgin Islanders, residents and visitors have access to safe, efficient and reliable transportation-for-hire services that yields consistent professional customer service.

The commission has been tasked with bringing quality and excellence to the taxi industry through regulations, compliance and enforcement.  This is expected to be done through the highest form of professionalism with the necessary tools available.

The commission’s inspectors will be armed on April 2 with the Taxi and Livery Ticket book to meaningfully police the industry subject to the Taxi and Livery Commission Regulations.
