ANOTHER MAN ARRESTED IN ROAD TOWN FOR VIOLATING CURFEW!

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force just confirmed that a man was arrested and charged after 12am for breaching the curfew/24 hour lockdown.

Information reaching us alleged that several persons were apprehended but the force confirmed only one arrest within the last 24-hours.

The arrest was made in the Road Town area.

According to Police Commissioner Michael Matthews said “if persons or businesses violate the new restrictions they commit offences under the Public Health Act. This carries a fine of up to $1,000 and /or 6 months imprisonment”

284 Media implores all residents to honor all rules laid out by the Government of the Virgin Islands, to minimize the spread of the Coronavirus. The curfew is scheduled to be lifted on April 2nd, 2020.
