BVI RED CROSS ACCEPTS DONATIONS TO FOOD BANK

The BVI Red Cross is accepting donations to replenish its food bank.

Individuals and businesses that would like to donate to the BVI Red Cross food bank should email Dennis Ver-soza at dversoza@rtwbvi.com with the subject line: BVI Red Cross – BVIR001. In the email, persons are asked to state the total of the donation along with any specific items to include in the order for the food bank.

Director of BVI Red Cross Ms. Stacy Lloyd said, “In order to help more people during these challenging times, the BVI Red Cross is appealing to the public to donate generously to our food bank.”

She continued by saying, “The food bank supports the most vulnerable members of our community which includes the elderly, unemployed, the sick and shut-in, and single parent homes.”

The food bank is located at Road Town Wholesale, which Director Lloyd said is one of the BVI Red Cross’ long-time donors.

To that end, she commented, “The BVI Red Cross is grateful to the unwavering support of donors like Road Town Wholesale.”

Road Town Wholesale recently donated to the BVI Red Cross food bank in time for the Easter weekend. Those supplies are being given to persons in need; deliveries began on Saturday.

Persons in need of food supplies should register with the BVI Red Cross via telephone 494-6349.

The Red Cross Movement is a volunteer based international humanitarian organization which was established in 1956.
