A Virgin Gorda resident is now in a serious condition at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hopsital following an incident that left him with a chop wound to the neck.
In an invited comment from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, A.G. Information Officer Akia Thomas said “I can confirm a report received on May 18 at 1:58 am of a chopping incident in North Sound, Virgin Gorda. Police responded and one male was transferred to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith hospital for treatment.”
According to the reports reaching our newsroom, the suspect has a history of mental illness. It is alleged that he also attacked a police officer following the incident.
