A press release reaching our newsroom from the BVI Tourist Board is advising the public that as of 3pm today May 20th, 2020, Mrs Sharon Flax Brutus is no longer the territory’s Director of Tourism.
Mrs. Flax Brutus, submitted her resignation to the Board on Friday May 15th, 2020 to become effective 15th November, 2020.
Her resignation which was accepted by the Board of Directors, also thanked her for her service to the BVI Tourist Board.
However, the Board of Directors made a decision today May 20th that her resignation should take place immediately.
The agency has stated that the organizations hierarchy will take effect to ensure continuity in operations.
