Minister of Education and Culture, Hon. Dr. Natalio D. Wheatley announced this morning that the British Virgin Islands will be having some level of festival activities this year.
Dr. Wheatley at the time, was speaking at the Rotary Club Sunrise meeting and made the remarks in greeting club members. He was the guest speaker, speaking on Community Service and Community involvement.
Minister Wheatley did not specify what format the Virgin Islands Festival will take but stated that the Virgin Islands culture must be preserved and showcased and to this end, persons can expect a smaller scale of festival activities.
The festival and fairs committee is yet to announce who the next Chairman of the Festival and Fairs committee chairperson will be following the recent resignation of Mr. Carnel Clyne.
