DISTURBANCE 1
Disturbance 1 is located about 418 miles east of the British Virgin Islands near 18 degrees north, 58 degrees west. The system is forecast to track northwestward over the next several days likely passing north of the Northern Leeward Islands.
Environmental conditions are expected to become more favorable for the disturbance to develop in a few days. The chance of tropical development has increased to 60 percent in five days.
Forecasters have indicated the tropical wave has a moderate chance of producing showers and slight chance of thunderstorms today and possibly Monday.
