BVI F.A. HOST TRAINING GET TOGETHER FOR PLAYERS PRESENTLY IN EUROPE

Press Release

The FA Executive, led by President, Andy Bickerton, continues to gain worldwide traction for its programs both on the Domestic front and for its National team’s development ambitions.

Most recently the squad members who are based in Educational Institutions across Europe were able to attend a short but intense “get together” organized by the FA Technical Director, Dan Neville.

Players such as Tyler Forbes, Luka Chalwell, Alejandro Santos, Miquel Marshall, Josh Bertie, Jamie Wilson, Jerry Wiltshire, Tosh Gallimore and Charles Medway made good use of the Hamworthy F.C. pitch as well as the David Lloyd Fitness Centre in Dorset, UK.

“It’s massively important the FA puts on as many as these get together and camps as possible in the run up to the world cup.” commented Neville “with the BVI on virtual shut down at the moment the group over there will continue with the online program and then as soon as feasible we will hold similar get togethers for them until we can get everyone in one place”

Mr. Bickerton was able to take time out from a series of ground breaking meetings with the English F.A. to pass on the hopes and dreams of the F.A. not only for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers, but also what is being put in place to make sure the strides taken so far do not go to waste and player development continues.

“Our Strategic plans, our development plans and all the work going on behind the scenes is attracting attention from a lot of people within football and that recognition is also down to our current crop of National team players as well as those at U17 and U15 levels, who have put in tremendous hard work and effort. The World Cup group is tough but imagine the benefits of playing Guatemala and using that experience to build to even greater things to come” noted Bickerton.

The “Get together” lasts until Friday and also includes a presentation on the World Cup which will also be shared with the other squad members via zoom, a presentation by a Sports Scientist on game preparation and recovery and a match against a local semi-professional side, Eastleigh F.C.
