BVI MAN GUNNED DOWN IN HIS HOME!

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force is now investigating the gruesome murder of George “Shawala” Burrows who was shot dead in his Purcell Estate home last night.

Akia Thomas of the RVIPF said “officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force responded to a report, received after 9:30pm on September 2, of a shooting in Purcell Estate. On arrival one male was found with what appeared to be a gunshot wound and was later pronounced dead at the scene.”

“The deceased is confirmed to be George Burrows who resided at Purcell Estate. It is alleged that he was shot by one unknown assailant who fled on foot,” Ms. Thomas further said.

Upon learning about his death, representative of the 6th district, Honorable Alvera Maduro-Caines said “this not what I expected tonight. It is not what I expect to hear on any night. It’s not what I expect to hear in my community. It is not what I expect to hear in our territory as we fight one plague, violence should not plague us as well”

“Shawala” as he was affectionately called was full of life, had recently been tested for Coronavirus as a measure to ensure he was keeping his family safe, and was known to be a friend to all, who was often seen relaxing outside the home that he was renovating, and chilling with his friends, the same friends he grew up with in Purcell,” Honorable Maduro-Caines added, shocked by his untimely death.

Compassionately known as “Panchie’s” brother, he was a father of four and well-known in his community as decent, upstanding and comedic.

Mr. Burrows was also an exceptional softball player.
