Despite the challenges that have arose during the global pandemic, the Rotary Clubs in the Territory continue to forge ahead with initiatives assist the community.
The Rotary Club of Road Town hosts their second annual Biz Pitch Competition.
The Biz Pitch Competition invites all young, talented and entrepreneurial secondary school students to create a 90 second video pitching a business idea. The video should be sent to the club’s email at rotaryclubroadtown@gmail.com by 19th September 2020.
Two lucky participants will then be chosen to pitch their idea at a networking social. One lucky student will emerge as the 2020 Biz-Pitch Winner.
The Rotary Club of Road Town, is also hosting for the second time “My Favourite Teacher Competition”.
Rotary Club of Road Town has come to realize, especially in the last few months, the indelible position that our teachers hold in our societies and in the world.
Students can submit an essay with no more than 300 words or a poem that describes how their teacher influenced their life. Both teacher and student will be entered to win. Submissions are due by 28th September 2020. Winners will be announced on World’s teacher’s day on the 5th October 2020.
