The Cabinet of the Virgin Islands has advised the National Security Council to impose a new restricted 14-day curfew from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. daily starting from September 16 to 29.

All businesses will be allowed to operate under the Curfew Act 2017, Imposition of a Curfew (No. 32) Order 2020 with the exception of daycare centres, pre-schools, public pools, cinemas, bars, night clubs and other entertainment services.

Business owners are reminded that their operations are subject to inspections and certification by the Social Distancing Monitoring Task Force and the Environmental Health Division and that failure to comply will result in fines and penalties.

The public is invited to tune into the Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Carvin Malone’s Official COVID-19 Update on Wednesday September 16 at 10:00 a.m. for more information on the Territory’s COVID-19 response.
