The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF), in a statement issued on the October 14th 2020, said the investigations into the two murders of 2020, remains “very active”.
On October 13th 2020, it was reported that four individuals were arrested, but not charged, in connection with the two murders of 2020.
One person was arrest in connection with the murder of George Burrows. Burrows was shot in his home in Purcell Estate by an unknown assailant on September 2nd, 2020. This ordeal was recorded as the first murder of 2020
Three persons were arrested in connection with the murder of Matthew Daly. Approximately a week after the first murder, Daly was murdered. His body was found unresponsive in the Spring Ghut Area.
This morning, 14th October 2020, the RVIPF in a issued statement, reported that all the individuals held were subsequently released.
It said “The RVIPF can confirm that the four arrested yesterday in relations to the recent murders inquires have been discharged pending further investigations. Both inquires remain very active.”
