Traveler’s eagerly awaiting the update for the opening of the Road Town Ferry Terminal found out that the original 8th December opening date was deferred to 2021.
The news of the opening date deferral was announced in a press conference on December 7th with the Premier and Minister of Finance of the British Virgin Islands, Honourable Andrew Fahie and the Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone outlining cabinet decisions for the border reopening.
A new target date of January 21st 2021 has been set for the opening of the Road Town Ferry Terminal, only, to incoming international visitors until all performance objectives for the opening are met. Cabinet decided that all visitors would enter the Territory via the Terrance B. It was also stated that cabinet requested that, within one (1) week, the Permanent Secretary in the Premier’s Office and the Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority, with input from the Health Emergency Operations Centre (HEOC), submit a plan and timeline for the reopening of the Road Town Ferry Terminal to incoming International visitors for 21st January, 2021.
