The Government of the Virgin Islands is offering a grace period of three months on the disconnections of water service to customers of the Water and Sewerage Department.
Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities, Honourable Kye Rymer said the grace period will begin on Monday, January 18, to Friday, April 30.
“This period is to allow customers the opportunity to settle outstanding balances. Your Government understands the challenges that you the residents have experienced as a result of the impact from the COVID-19 pandemic last year. As a result, we decided to add some leniency in the regularly scheduled disconnections,” Honourable Rymer said.
He added, “The grace period will begin on Monday, January 18 to Friday, April 30. During this period, we are encouraging customers of the Water and Sewerage Department including those with bill discrepancies to make arrangements to bring their accounts current.”
For more information persons may telephone the Water and Sewerage Department at (284) 468-5834/5901 or email wsd@gov.vg.
The Water and Sewerage Department continues to seek to ensure the provision of a continuous supply of potable water at affordable rates to all the residents of the Virgin Islands.
