ROTARY CLUB OF TORTOLA CHARTERS EARLYACT CLUB AT JOYCE SAMUEL PRIMARY SCHOOL

On Friday March 5th President of the Rotary Club of Tortola alongside club members, principals and teachers at the Joyce Samuel Primary School officially launched the newly chartered Earlyact Club at the school.

The role of the Rotary Club of Tortola will be to serve as facilitators and advisors to the young leaders as they seek to serve their community in a variety of avenues.

Earlyact is a school wide service club for elementary students ages 5-13. Earlyact provides young students the opportunity to gain an increased awareness and knowledge of the community and the world. At this young age, all students can easily be encouraged to be caring and helpful.

In an invited comment he said, “On March 5th, 2021 The Rotary Club of Tortola chartered the Joyce Samuels Earlyact Club, with twenty-one (21) members ranging from grades 4-6. The club decided to plant another gooseberry tree, to signify the charter of the Joyce Samuel Primary School Earlyact Club, as it will be the symbol of growth and unity between both the Rotary Club of Tortola and the Joyce Samuel Primary School Earlyact Club.”

The Rotary Club of Tortola is now the sponsor of two (2) Earlyact Clubs, namely St. Georges Primary School, chartered in 2014 and now the Joyce Samuel Primary School. It is the intention of the Rotary Club of Tortola to charter another Earlyact Club at the Alexandrina Maduro Primary School.

President Stoutt thanked sponsors for making the chartering of the Joyce Samuel Primary school Earlyact club a reality. Saying, “We want to give special thanks to our sponsors: Members of the Rotary Club of Tortola, Second Man’s Ice services, Hon. Alvera Maduro Cains, Dr. Hon.
