The murder victim of yesterday’s fatal drive-by shooting which took place in broad day light, has been formally identified by officials as Deverson Williams, 38, native of St. Vincent, who resided in Long Trench.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene after sustaining several gunshot wounds while in his vehicle in the Fish Bay area around 3:45 pm yesterday. The victim’s vehicle, nearby vehicles and the International Motors building also sustained damage. Evidence indicates that a high-powered weapon was used in this incident.
Following the incident, a search warrant was carried out on a property on Tortola which resulted in the seizure of a loaded firearm and ammunition. Two persons were arrested as a result.
