CIBC FIRSTCARIBBEAN WELCOMES NEW COUNTRY MANAGER

CIBC FirstCaribbean has a new Country Manager in the British Virgin Islands. Mr. Amory Jervis who joined the regional bank in 2017, arrived in the territory at the start of the year to take up the appointment.

Mr. Jervis is a seasoned banker having progressed through positions in both Retail and Corporate Banking prior to joining CIBC FirstCaribbean as a Senior Corporate Manager in St. Lucia.

In February, Mr. Jervis paid a courtesy call on the Premier and cabinet ministers with whom he shared his personal focus as Country Manager.

“While my role is to oversee the services and execution of the mission of the bank, there are three things I am passionate about: employees, clients and partnerships,” said Mr. Jervis.

“I believe in developing people to reach their full potential so that, as a bank, we can deliver the best service to our clients. I am also a firm advocate of partnering with the community, not only to support activities that promote the social and physical well-being of its residents but to also participate in opportunities that promote and develop career banking with a view to building HR capacity from entry level positions to senior managers,” he added.

Mr. Jervis is a member of the Chartered Bankers Institute in Scotland and earned an MBA from Bangor University and a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation from the Project Management Institute, as well as other numerous industry specific qualifications.
