Nine male prisoners have been arrested in relation to the recent stabbing death of inmate Nickail Chambers.
This was revealed in a media release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force on Thursday June 17.
The release did not reveal the names of the arrested prisoners, but it said that the arrested males have not yet been charged.
The May 30 incident which took place at Her Majesty’s Prison in Balsam Ghut on Tortola involved the now deceased Chambers who was 29 years of age at the time, and four other inmates.
The police said they are continuing their investigations into the matter.
