The government of the Virgin Islands has removed the territory-wide curfew order and has lifted the previous limited gathering number for all occasions except for events.
This was revealed in a government commissioned bulletin which confirmed that the Order removing the restrictions was published in the government’s official Gazette today October 15.
The release stated “The public is asked to take note that under Statutory Instrument No. 127, there shall be no restrictions on gatherings, except in the case of an event. Organisers of an event and the proprietors of the premises hosting the event shall ensure that the physical distancing protocols and sanitisation measures are adhered to and that attendance at the event is restricted to no more than one person per nine square feet.”
It added, “The public is also asked to take note that under this Statutory Instrument No. 128, that S.I. No. 123 Imposition of a Curfew Order (No. 15), 2021 is now revoked.”
