Police have confirmed another major cocaine drug bust in the territory which occurred sometime on the morning of Tuesday October 19.
This was confirmed in a media statement from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force on Wednesday October 20.
The police did not specify the quantity seized nor did they disclose how many persons are in custody following the drug bust.
They say such information could not be revealed at this time due to investigations being in the preliminary stages.
The statement read, “An operation conducted yesterday morning (Tuesday) by officers of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force on the eastern end of Tortola has resulted in the seizure of a significant quantity of cocaine.”
It added, “Investigations are active and ongoing with several persons being interviewed in relation to the seizure. Therefore, no other information can be released at this time.”
