Information reaching our news station indicates that teachers of the Claudia Creque Educational Centre on Anegada is now the latest school to join in the silent protests with a sit-out which was activated this morning.
According to the reports, the sit-out stems from a number of issues that teachers say have been plaguing the school for some time.
These issues include: security at the school, increments owed, better working conditions due to leaking classrooms and mold in classrooms, increased ventilation, and a need for a guidance counselor.
In addition: a need for an increase in salary, upgrading teaching grade status, a new science lab, internet issues and equipment and materials for their science lab, are among some of the other key issues.
Efforts to reach principal Lisa Nelson to confirm the reports were unsuccessful up until the publication of this news story.
