SIMULATION EXERCISE BEING CONDUCTED AT THE TADDY BAY AIRPORT ON VG – RESIDENTS ASKED TO EXERCISE CAUTION IN THE AREA

The Taddy Bay Airport on Virgin Gorda will be undergoing a simulation exercise today Thursday December 9.

The BVI Airports Authority (BVIAA) made the announcement to notify residents on the sister island of the simulation, in the event of any raised concerns.

“The purpose of the exercise is to test the response of the personnel of BVI Airports Authority and other external agencies to an emergency during operational hours at the airport as well as to meet the requirements for the Overseas Territories Aviation Regulations (OTAR) 139 for the certification of the Aerodrome,” the Airports Authority stated.

The BVIAA also asked residents in the vicinity of the airport to exercise caution and remain clear of the activities.
