The 2:30pm ferry departing the United States Virgin Islands to the territory will now be making an additional stop at the West End Ferry Terminal for fully vaccinated passengers only.
This was revealed by the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA) in a recent media release which said the adjustment to the International Ferry Passenger Schedule commenced from Thursday December 16.
According to the BVIPA, the decision was made following productive discussions with a number of the stakeholders involved.
“Due to the cooperation and collaboration of the BVIPA, ferry operators, stakeholders and relevant government agencies, the 2:30 p.m. ferry that departs the US Virgin Islands for the British Virgin Islands will now stop at the West End Ferry Terminal to allow for the disembarkation of fully vaccinated passengers only. The ferry will then continue to Road Town Jetty for the disembarkation of all passengers (fully and partially vaccinated and unvaccinated),” the BVIPA stated.
