The Department of Trade, Investment Promotion and Consumer Affairs has adapted to the current needs of the residents of the Virgin Islands and its business community and is now accepting remote payment from customers wishing to make payments for trade licenses.
In a Government Information Services release, Director of Trade, Mrs. Karia Christopher said, “To reduce the immense foot traffic at the Department and to better serve our customers we are encouraging persons to make payments for trade license using any of our contactless options.”
The general public is hereby notified of the following payment options for trade licenses:
Credit Card/Debit
- Complete the Credit Card Authorisation Form
- Email the completed form to bvitrade@gov.vg. Where email is not possible, please drop-off the information in a sealed envelope in the drop box located on the second floor.
- A customer service representative will call when the process is completed.
Cheque
- Customers who choose to remit payment with a cheque should list all licenses to be paid, placed in a sealed envelope and placed in the drop box on the second floor.
Cash
- All cash payments must be remitted at the Department of Trade in person. Cashier hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
Additionally, residents of the sister islands will continue to be serviced as priority if payments are made in person. Trade license late fees will be in effect from February 15th.
