LOCAL JOURNALIST & MEDIA PROFESSIONALS IN THE VIRGIN ISLANDS ARRESTED AND CHARGED FOR FORGERY

In an official arrest blotter the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force stated that Cathyolivia Richards, a local journalist of JTV News, 48, of Fort Hill has been arrested and charged.  

Also arrested and charged is Hitesh Yadram, 43, of Great Mountain also an employee of JTV News and a Guyanese national.

The charges brought forth are for “Uttering a Forged Document and Demanding Property on Forged Document”. 

Both were granted bail to appear before the Magistrate’s Court at a later date. 

The matter involving accused Cathyolivia Richards a Guyanese national, alleged stemmed from being flagged because of a discrepancy which caused the Labour Department to contact the police who later arrested and charged the media personnel.
