THE PRICE GOUGING TASK FORCE IS YET TO BE ASSEMBLED – PREMIER PROMISES 1-2 WEEKS

Despite the March 13 announcement of the launch of a special task force to tackle price gouging in the territory, more than a month later and the task force is yet to be assembled.

This was confirmed by Premier and Minister of Finance Honourable Andrew Fahie during a recent press conference.

The premier did not explain why the task force has not yet been assembled but he did promise that it should be functional within the upcoming weeks to coexist with the 5 percent customs duty that is in effect over the next three months.
