A candle-light vigil is to be held this Saturday, May 7th at the Road Town Fire Headquarters in honour of Shaquoy ‘Puzy’ Smith, a Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Officer who died following a scooter accident on April 18th.
After being found in critical condition on Hope Hill early Easter Monday, 24-year-old Smith was taken to the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital where he remained in a coma for several days.
During this period, many friends and family members sent prayers in hopes that Smith would recover, however, on Sunday April 24th, Smith sadly passed.
The Vigil will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is set to feature readings, singing, prayers and Pastor Walter Barrett as the speaker. Persons are asked to walk with a candle and wear any shade of blue.
