From January 2021 to November 2021 the government spent just over $8 million in costs associated with the Commission of Inquiry (COI) according to the Premier Dr. the Honourable Natalio Wheatley.
His comments came during a recent House of Assembly session in response to questions posed by the Opposition Leader Honourable Julian Fraser
He explained that from January 2021 to July 2021 the portion of the overall bill amounted to $2,689,742.82.
Premier Wheatley then disclosed that the additional five months which was given as an extension by the Governor amounted to $5,367,740.98.
He said this figure included legal fees, security fees, and public relations fees.
