A number of persons employed in emergency services will be honoured this evening by the Office of the Governor as part of their celebrations for Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee holiday.
Governor His Excellency John Rankin made the disclosure during a recent interview with 284Media, where he detailed the plans in store for the event which is set for the Queen Elizabeth II Park in Road Town.
He said the lighting of a beacon is among the plans.
Governor Rankin encouraged residents to come out in their numbers to enjoy the festivities and show support to the Queen.
The event is set to commence from 6:30pm today Thursday, June 2.
