The public is invited to come out and support Mrs. British Virgin Islands Dr. Arliene T. Penn on Sunday, August 7 where, through the W.I.N Foundation and WINBVI Organisation, she will officially launch her song titled “Reclaiming Me”.
The launch will be held at Myetts Chill Zone in the Cyril B. Romney Pier Park from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00p.m. The dress code is chic casual. Entertainment will be my The Ministry (Aaron ‘Jedi’ Parillon and friends). There is a donation of $10, and proceeds go towards assisting women in need.
Mrs. British Virgin Islands 2023 Dr. Arliene T. Penn placed first runner up in the recent W.I.N (Women in Need) Foundation Song of the Year in Palm Springs, California. Dr. Penn’s song “Reclaiming Me” competed during the Feminine Boss Luncheon and WIN Song of the Year competition hosted by Dr. Tracy Kemble, founder of W.I.N Foundation and the Mrs. Globe Pageant on Thursday, June 2 in Palm Springs California, USA.
Penn also performed the song live during the Mrs. Globe 2022 pageant on Friday, June 3. According to WINBVI Director Mrs. Alicia Green, “It’s a first time opening up the competition to global participants and we took the opportunity to not only showcase the talent of the women of the BVI but a further opportunity to share BVI with the globe and empower others through song” Many people have being asking, both locally and internationally where to find the song?
We are now to this moment and on Aug 7 it will be ready to download from itunes, amazon and other platforms will be shared.
Mrs. British Virgin Islands Dr. Penn said, “I am delighted to now officially share my song with the rest of the world. The song speaks to women empowerment. I used the opportunity to market the many programmes offered by the foundation as a way to help women to remember the services provided by WIN.”
Penn’s original piece was written by her and the music was done by Mr. Brent Hoyte of Home Grown Studio.
