The OneMart Superstore in Fat Hog’s Bay is open and ready to serve residents of the East End/Long Look Community, and the wider Virgin Islands with the promise of upholding and improving on the good name of service that the OneMart name has built in the territory.
The Superstore is the second of its kind to be built by OneMart.
OneMart owner and Representative for the Fourth District Honourable Mark Vanterpool said that it was his hope to bring a world-class facility to the community because, in his experience, residents of the area have been known to want only the best.
He said, “What I had to present here, I had to go back to the drawing board and try to make sure I present to the East End/Long Look people something that is first class. And I’m not bragging about it, I’m merely stating a fact!”
“You go in there… You’re going to see what I mean. We gave the people of East End/Long Look something first class!” Vanterpool said during a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new store location.
It is anticipated that the presence of the superstore will result in immediate savings for shoppers, by cutting travel distances to the next nearest OneMart significantly.
And while Vanterpool admits that the OneMart Business will face some competition in the area, it is hoped that this will materialise in a form of healthy business competitiveness which will play into the best interests of customers.
