Hundreds came out on Saturday August 27th for HireBVI’s Annual Back 2 School Fun Day and Expo which was held at the Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park.
This year’s event saw students enjoying a “Wet Fete Edition” which was centered around water sport activities under the theme, “The Future is Now” and exposed participants to after-school/extra curriculum activities registration drives and pop-up shops for children.
While at the fun day and exposition, parents got an opportunity to learn while the children played.
Hundreds of packages with school supplies to registered children were distributed.
One of the highlights of the day was residents getting to drunk various community leaders including:
Hon. Dr. Natalio Wheatley, Hon. Marlon A Penn, Hon. Melvin Turnbull, Mrs. Shaina Smith-Archer, and Cindy Rosan and DJ Grimm.
HireBVI’s Managing Director Ms. Rekeema Turnbull in an invited comment said, “HireBVI’s Back 2 School Wet Fete saw hundreds of parents and children. We at HireBVI were grateful to see all of the parents and children in attendance. The smiling faces for me was the best part of the event. We had exhibitors on site, from a dance school to event planner and a pediatrician. There was also an ice cream truck and food vendor for all. We also had a display by our Corporate Collaborator, CCT. It was certainly a wet fete for the children and even the adults. Then there was the moment when Tola the Turtle from National Bank of the VI came through. She assisted us with distributing hundreds of school bags with supplies. There was the smiling faces again. I’m grateful to God first of all, and all the corporate collaborators, supporters, volunteers, the politicians that actually came out to be dunked, and my awesome team at HireBVI.
