27-YEAR-OLD KAMAUL NIBBS CHARGED WITH POSSESSION OF A FIREARM AND AMMO

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force has made another breakthrough in their fight against ridding the territory of illegal firearms after arresting and charging a 27-year-old Long Bush male recently.

This was confirmed by the RVIPF on Tuesday, November 1, as they identified the male as Kamaul Nibbs who was charged with possession of a revolver and five rounds of ammunition.

According to the police, Nibbs will have his first court appearance before the Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.

In a previous statement by the police, Commissioner Mark Collins expressed the RVIPF’s will of keeping the pressure on in removing firearms from the streets of the BVI.

He pointed to the more than 75 firearms and close to 2,100 rounds of ammunition that the police have seized within the last year.

The police are urging all persons to come forward and share any information that could stem the flow of firearms which are entering the territory.

Persons with information can contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit directly at 368-9339.
